Hideaway is certainly an appropriate term here. High up with a magnificent view in a no-frills but tastefully modern hotel where you can't help but feel comfortable. The small evening menu is of select quality, whether classic or vegetarian. The same applies to the wines. Great hotel! We were not only thrilled by the magnificent view of Lake Hallstatt and the surrounding peaks. The location is also perfect. Those seeking relaxation will get their money's worth here, as will those seeking adventure. Numerous cross-country ski trails, hiking trails (also accessible with snowshoes), mountain bike trails and via ferrata start directly in front of the hotel. We booked the Suhrkamp room at the weekend. While I'm showering, the sun rises on the Dachstein, nice. An espresso afterwards, what more could you want? This is how to chill. You order breakfast with a few crosses like on a night train. All right. What you get served minutes later is something to be proud of. Especially the selected teas.
